Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih Al-Uthaymeen was asked: Is the genie can give effect to humans, and how to protect yourself from them?

There is no doubt that the genie can give effect to humans with the disorder can sometimes deadly, sometimes interfere with stones, to frighten people, and other things that passed by the Sunnah and is indicated by the fact. Legally narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam allow a friend to go to his family in a war-which I guess war Khandaq-, He is a young man who had just married. When he reached his home, his wife turns in front of the door. He denied that his actions and said to him, "Come!". When this young man came in, it turns out a snake coiled on top of the bed. With a spear in his hand, he stabbed the snake with the spear to death. At the same time -that when the snake die then this man also died. The narrator does not know, where the first death; snake or that person. When the news came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he forbade killing snakes that were in the house except the vicious and venomous snakes. He said.
إن بالمد ينة جنا قد سلموا فإذا رأيتم منهم شيئا فا ذنوه ثلاثة أيام فإن بدا لكم بعد ذلك فاقتلوه فإنما هو شيطان
"Indeed in Medina are the genie who had converted to Islam. If you see something out of them, then let it for three days. If he appeared to you after that, then kill. Because, in fact he is the devil "[Reported by Muslim, no. 2226, the book As-Salam]
This proposition shows that the jinn sometimes humans and menggangggu menzhalimi them, as the phenomenon proves it. The news has mutawatir and so many mentions that humans sometimes enters the empty houses and stoned when humans do not see seseorangpun in the empty house. Sometimes he hears voices and sometimes hear the soft whir like the sound of trees and the like that make fear and disturbed by it.
Similarly, sometimes jinn entering the human body, both with love, to intend to harass or other causes. This is hinted at by his word.
الذين يأكلون الربا لا يقومون إلا كما يقوم الذي يتخبطه الشيطان من المس
"People who eat (take) usury can not stand but as beridinya people who possessed because (pressure) insanity" [al-Baqarah / 2: 275]

It is not possible for ordinary people. Because jin is the soul without the body. They are very gentle spirit that can burn the eyes. Allaah says.
إنه يراكم هو وقبيله من حيث لا ترونهم
"Indeed, he and his followers see you from where you can not see them" [Al-A'raf: 27]
Just as we do not see the angels who are with us are noted charity, and we do not see demons that flow in the human body in the bloodstream. But if God gives privileges to someone with the privilege of prophethood, then he can see angels. As the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam saw Gabriel, when it comes down to it, while the man in the vicinity do not see it.
The shaman and the like, the genie is sometimes disguised as one of them, then partly jin show it, saying, "Jin has come to so and so". So not a man who sees it, but the genie in disguise to him that anyone who sees it and preach in the surrounding areas.
