Question.

What is clear, shamanism and zodiac forecasts (constellation astrology), both related to the problem claim to know the unseen matter. The definition of supernatural cases, ie cases that can not be reached by the five senses. (See 'Alamus Sihr, pp. 263, by Dr. Umar Sulaiman Al Asyqar). Includes case unseen is what will happen. Indeed, who knows the unseen matter is Allah Ta'ala. He says:

قل لا يعلم من في السماوات والأرض الغيب إلا الله

Say: "No one in the heavens and on earth knows the unseen matter, except God." [An Naml: 65].

Then God told most cases unseen through His revelation to the apostles whom He wills. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says:

عالم الغيب فلا يظهر على غيبه أحدا {26} إلا من ارتضى من رسول فإنه يسلك من بين يديه ومن خلفه رصدا

(He is Lord) The Knowing of the unseen, and He does not show one of the supernatural. Except the apostles were blessed him, then surely He held the guards (angels) in front and behind. [Al Jin: 26,27].

Shaykh Saalih al Fawzaan states: "So whoever claimed to know the unseen matter includes, in addition to whatever means are excluded by God to His apostles (through His revelation) - then he is a liar, infidel, either through reading palms, glasses, shamanism, magic, Astrology (Zodiac) or the other. "[1]

He also said: "Whoever claim to know the unseen or confirmed cases of people who claim to it, then he polytheists, disbelievers. Because of her claim to equal God in cases including kekhusuanNya specificity. "[2].

Thus, shamanism and zodiac forecasts are equally forbidden. Then keep in mind, that meant the shaman here, is that the Arabic language is Kahin or 'Arraf, that is, those who claim to know the unseen matter, what will happen, where lost property, theft of goods, the hearts of people and the like, although in the community known as clerics, smart people, parents or others. Come to quack like is unlawful. Whoever came to him and asked him something, his prayer for 40 days is not accepted by Allah Ta'ala. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:

من أتى عرافا فسأله عن شيء لم تقبل له صلاة أربعين ليلة

Whoever came 'Arraf, then asked him about something, it will not be accepted from him praying 40 days. [HR. Muslim, no. 2.230].

In another hadith, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:

من أتى حائضا أو امرأة في دبرها أو كاهنا فقد كفر بما أنزل على محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم

Whoever came (ie intercourse / mengumpuli) menstruating woman or visit (ie, intercourse / mengumpuli) women in the anus or visit Kahin (shaman), then he is a disbeliever (Qur'an) which has been revealed to Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. [Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and others].

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al 'Uthaymeen rahimahullah explained, that asked' Arraf (shaman) and the like there are several kinds: [3]

Just ask any. It is haraam, based on the above hadith which means, "He went to 'Arraf then asked him about something, it will not be accepted from him praying 40 days. [Reported by Muslim, no. 2.230]. Determination of sanctions (ie prayer will not be accepted 40 days, Red) for the questioner shows keharamannya. Because there is no doubt, except for cases that are forbidden.

Asked the shaman, believe and assume (correctly) words. It disbelief, as justification for shamans of supernatural knowledge, means deniers of the Qur'an.

Asked the shaman to test, whether he's right or a liar, not to take his words. Then this is not why and excluding (prohibition) in the hadith (above). Because the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam never asked Ibn Shayyad to test it. Asked the shaman to show weakness and kedustaannya. It sometimes (legal) required or demanded.

Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen rahimahullah also explain the problem tanjim (astrology). He stated that there are two tanjim science: [4].

First: Science At Ta'tsir (astrology, namely the study of the stars, with the assumption that the stars that have an influence; including horoscope zodiac star). There are three:

1. A person believes that the stars have an influence, as an actor, in the sense that the stars that are creating events and vices. This includes categories such shirk akbar (greater shirk, his infidel or apostate if he was a Muslim). Because, whoever acknowledges there are other accompanying creator God (besides him), then he idolatrous, which is doing a great shirk. Because he has made being subdued (ie stars), the creator of the bow.

2. Someone made the stars as the cause, so that by the stars, he claims to know the unseen. He took the hint with the movement of the stars, the displacement and changes, that would be so and so because the star has become so-so and so. As someone said, "This man would lose his life because he was born in this month and it", "This person will be happy life because he was born in this month and it". People who say this has made astrology as a means to claim the unseen. While claims that he knows the unseen is kufr which resulted out of the religion. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says:

قل لا يعلم من في السماوات والأرض الغيب إلا الله

Say: "No one in the heavens and on earth knows the unseen matter, except God." [An Naml: 65].

So whoever claimed to have been aware of the unseen, he has denied the Qur'an.

3. Someone believes the stars as the cause of good and evil. This then shirk al-ghar (minor shirk, which do not cause an apostate from Islam). Ie if there has been anything, he attribute to the stars. And he did not attribute to the stars except after the occurrence.

Second: At Tas-Yir Science (astronomy, the study of the star, which is the journey mashlahat clues for (the good of) religion, such as the direction of Qibla, or mashlahat the world, such as: direction, location of the venue, and other seasons. Its like This law allowed.

From this description, we know the dangers forecast zodiac (constellations) or quackery. Allaah al Musta'an.
