Safer Accounts and Investments than Banking
The Safest Investment According to Qur’an and Sunnah (Prophetic Guidance)
All this time, we save our money at the bank to keep it safe, not decreasing, and not stolen by others. We deposit it to the bank to achieve benefits and multiply our wealth. For so long, bank has been considered as the safest place to invest and to keep or money safe. But is it true, factually?As a perfect religion, Islam has enlighten the best way to keep our riches safe, and to double it. Unfortunately, most of us do not recognize this important knowledge, or void of faith in it, whereas the One promises to keep it safe and bestow lots of benefits is Allah, Lord of The Worlds, The Wealthiest of all Who Masters All Objects of Universe.
We trust banks, which are led by powerless men, but we only trust and acknowledge the promises of Allah as mere concepts inside religious forum and discussions, without real and thorough practice.
The solution Islam offered is simple, “Charity”, which means spending wealth in Allah’s cause. Yes, dear brother, be sure that performing charitable deeds will help us to:
Safe-keep out wealth (Even much safer than the bank), and it will not be decreasing even just a bit due to charity.
Multiply our wealth (Even hundreds-folds better than the interest of bank deposits)
This truth is supported by a hadeeth of The Prophet Shallallaahu ‘alayh wa Sallam, which means:
“Three thing I vowed upon:
Wealth will never be reduced by charity.
Someone who got oppressed but he stayed patience, Allah The Glorious and Exalted will add nothing of him but glory.
Someone who open the doors of begging to human, Allah will not open to him but doors of destitute.”

Allah The Holy and Exalted decreed:
“Who is he that will loan to Allah a beautiful loan, which Allah will double unto his credit and multiply many times? It is Allah that giveth (you) want or plenty and to Him shall be your return.” (Al Baqara/The Cow: 245)
“The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn: It groweth seven ears, and each ear hath a hundred grains. Allah giveth manifold increases to whom He pleaseth; and Allah careth for all and He knoweth all things.” (Al Baqara/The Cow: 261)
In contrast, those who feel that bank’s interests better and more double-folding for their money, indeed, they have been wickedly fooled, and they do not realize that their wealth will be destroyed, sooner or later.
“Allah will deprive usury of all blessing, but will give increase for deeds of charity: for He loveth not creatures ungrateful and wicked.” (Al Baqara/The Cow: 276)
The Apostle of Allah Shallallaahu ‘alayhe wa Sallam declared,
“Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, ‘O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,’, and the other (angel) says, ‘O Allah! Destroy every miser.'” (Collected by Bukharee and Muslim)
Obligatory Charity = Islamic Model of Insurance
Other than the meritorious alms, we shall pay close attention to the obligatory charity of our wealth, learn it’s method of calculations and it’s proportion to purify our wealth from the rights of the poor inside it. Charity is the protector of our wealth, and insha Allah, by performing such, our wealth will be safe from any calamities, losses, and destruction, until there will be no need of an insurance.The Messenger of Allah -Shallallaahu ‘alayhe wa Sallam said,
“Protect your wealth by performing charity, cure the sick amongst you by alms, and face afflictions with prayer.” (Collected by Al Baihaqi and Thabrani, graded sahih by Sheikh Al Albaanee).
The Story of A Successful Peasant
This is a story about a pious peasant, taken from a narration of Abu Huraira – may Allah be pleased with him-, The Prophet Shallallaahu ‘alayhe wa Sallam said,“When a person walked through a desert, dry land, suddenly he heard a voice came from the clouds, “Water the garden of such!” then the cloud fled away and poured it’s water upon a rocky, black piece of land.
Evidently, there was a tunnel of those tunnels which was fulfilled with water. So he tracked down the stream of that water. And he found a man who was standing in his garden, and directed the water with his mattock.
Then he asked, “O Servant of Allah, what is your name?”. The other replied by mentioning a name. The name which he had heard before from the cloud. The peasant asked in return, “Why do you ask about my name?”. He answered, “I heard a voice came from the cloud which water is this water here, said ‘Water the garden of such! which was your name. What have you done in this garden?”
He replied, “Since you have told me this, I will tell you that I have calculated the harvest of this garden; one-third will be for charity; one-third will be our family livestock; and one-third will be returned to this garden (to be re-planted).” (Collected by Muslim)
In another narration:
And I give one-third of it to the poor and beggars and travelers.
Epilogue
Dear brother, however, we must be careful in performing good deeds, do not perform it so that people will see it and praise it, or merely desire the worldly returns of such deeds, because if that so, we will be prevented from rewards at the Day of Resurrection. But perform it due to your faith to Allah, sincerely due to His Cause alone.
“Those who desire the life of the Present and its glitter to them We shall pay (the price of) their deeds therein — without diminution. They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but the Fire: vain are the designs they frame therein, and of no effect are the deeds that they do!” (Hud, 15-16)
“O ye who believe! Cancel not your charity by reminders of your generosity or by injury — like those who spend their substance to be seen of men, but believe neither in Allah nor in the Last Day. They are in Parable like a hard, barren rock, on which is a little soil; on it falls heavy rain, which leaves it (just) a bare stone. They will be able to do nothing with aught they have earned. And Allah guideth not those who reject faith.” (Al Baqara/The Cow: 264)
