2 For God Will not Give punishment in World
There are two reasons for the wrath of God does not degrade humanity when in the world. The first cause is gone, because the two, there are up to the end of time.
Allah says,
وما كان الله ليعذبهم وأنت فيهم وما كان الله معذبهم وهم يستغفرون
God will not torture them for you there in their midst. And Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness. (QS. Al-Anfal: 33).
This verse talks about the challenges of the Quraysh idolaters, including Abu Jahl were expecting the arrival of punishment if found guilty. They challenge the arrogant:
وإذ قالوا اللهم إن كان هذا هو الحق من عندك فأمطر علينا حجارة من السماء أو ائتنا بعذاب أليم
Remember, when they (polytheists) said: "O Allah, if it is true (the Qur'an) is the one who is right from You, then hujanilah us with stones from the sky, or bring us to our painful punishment. (QS. Al-Anfal: 32)
You may have noticed, a wicked idolaters, God delay penalty, because the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam in the middle of them. So that he was the cause, God's wrath is not lowered. That's the first reason.
The second reason is to multiply seek forgiveness. Beg forgiveness of Allah. Because He guarantees, 'God will not punish them, while they beg for mercy'
Suudzan In Yourself
When we get a disaster, or conditions that are not comfortable in our lives, there are several possibilities why. It could be because God is punishing us, in order to be kafarah for our sins. It could also be because God loves us with our test in order to exalt us.
Whatever it is, the more appropriate attitude is put forward suudzan to yourself. Prejudice and believe, the presence of this tragedy caused by the sins we commit. And that is what God taught in the Koran,
وما أصابكم من مصيبة فبما كسبت أيديكم ويعفو عن كثير
All the calamities that befall you, it's because you do disobedience. And He has forgiven many sins. (QS. As-Shura: 30).
Therefore, the scholars suggest that we reproduce seek forgiveness and beg forgiveness of God, especially when you're getting the unfortunate and uncomfortable living conditions.
Imam Hasan al-Basri perdah visited 3 different people with complaints, at different times.
The first people came, complained long droughts and rainfall.
He just suggested, 'Expand seek forgiveness.'
Came the second, complained barren wife, no children.
He only suggested the same, 'Expand seek forgiveness.'
Coming third person, complained rizkinya difficult.
He again suggested, 'Expand seek forgiveness.'
Immediately, there are pilgrims who wonder,
عجبنا لك يا إمام أكلما دخل عليك رجل يسألك حاجة تقول له استغفر الله !!
You really surprising, O priests. Every person who complained about the problem to you, you just give the answer, 'Expand seek forgiveness.' !!
Imam al-Hasan replied,
ألم تقرأ قوله تعالى: فقلت استغفروا ربكم إنه كان غفارا * يرسل السماء عليكم مدرارا * ويمددكم بأموال وبنين ويجعل لكم
جنات ويجعل لكم أنهارا *
Did not you read the word of God,
فقلت استغفروا ربكم إنه كان غفارا * يرسل السماء عليكم مدرارا * ويمددكم بأموال وبنين ويجعل لكم جنات ويجعل لكم أنهارا
I say to them: 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord, He is the forgiveness -sesungguhnya, () He will send rain to you in abundance, () and augment wealth and your children, and hold you and hold gardens (also in it) for you rivers. (QS. Noah: 10-12)
Luckily, they are much istighfarnya charity record.
From Abdullah bin Busr radi 'anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,
طوبى لمن وجد فى صحيفته استغفارا كثيرا
Sunngguh lucky for those who get in the record books to his credit, many seek forgiveness. (HR. Ibn Majah 3950, and classed as saheeh al-Albani).
